Classes
Beginning students in the Murray School start out learning and mastering basic technique including foot placement, balance, posture and music.   After mastering these techniques, three solo dances are taught in soft shoes, the Reel, the Light Jig and the Slip Jig,  before the student moves on to training in the hard shoes.  Students will also learn group dances during their classes giving them a chance to develop team skills.

Besides being a fun way to express yourself, Irish dancing is a great way to exercise.  It is also a unique form of dance that requires hard work and dedication on the part of the dancer.   Practicing at home the lessons taught in class is necessary in order to master technique and movements so the student can progress to more complex steps and techniques.

Classes are split according to levels of experience, Beginner, Novice, Prizewinner and Championship levels.  Beginning classes are split according to age.
